Our mission
Our team is committed to enhancing national security and societal resilience through international cooperation, non-formal education, applied research and community engagement.

FOCUS
Since 2011, our interdisciplinary team has organised various training programmes and awareness-raising projects in collaboration with several local and international partners. Our activities aim to strengthen societal resilience and community continuity by improving situational awareness, conducting applied research and engaging in strategic communication.
The national will to defend
Information and training programmes on national defence and security, aimed at raising awareness among different target groups.
Civil security and crisis management
Promoting cross-sectoral cooperation to develop civil protection and increase community resilience by providing practical education and running simulation exercises.
Analysis of disinformation content and dissemination patterns
The skills and knowledge required to detect and counter the influence of hostile information in different environments.
Media, information and digital literacy
Strengthening strategic and crisis communication measures by sharing experience and addressing knowledge gaps.
Integration: values and attitudes
Researching and supporting integration-related citizens’ initiatives to improve cohesion in diverse societies.
Future challenges
Developing future literacy to advance participatory democracy in policymaking and empower communities to shape socially important future issues.

Founded in 2011, the NCDSA is a unique cooperation platform within Estonian civil society, aiming to strengthen national resilience through applied research, strategic communication, and social interactions.
